New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman confirmed Tuesday his office is investigating the Trump Foundation.

In an interview Tuesday on CNN, Schneiderman, a Democrat who has endorsed Hillary Clinton, said his office has been investigating the Trump Foundation to determine whether it has complied with NY laws governing nonprofits.

Schneiderman said that he does not want to publicize things, but it is true that they want to sure about whether the Trump Foundation is following the laws.

A new Hillary Clinton commercial being released on the internet Wednesday highlights the donation Donald Trump’s foundation made to Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi and calls it corrupt politics.

“We’ve inquired into it, and we’ve had correspondence with them”, Schneiderman added, according to a Politico report. He did not elaborate on what wrongdoing Trump’s nonprofit might have committed.

The fraud investigation never happened, although Mrs Bondi denies the decision was influenced by the donation she received.

Defending his running mate, Republican vice presidential nominee Mike Pence said on Monday that Trump has donated millions of dollars in charity.

Trump’s foundation, which for years has been funded by money the businessman raises from others rather than his own cash, has come under increasing scrutiny. Neither Trump’s nor Bondi’s spokesmen has responded to questions about what the two did discuss or provided the exact date of the call.

Her Republican rival Donald Trump, 70, has questioned the former top diplomat’s fitness for the nation’s highest office as the race intensifies.

“While my opponent slanders you as deplorable and irredeemable, I call you hardworking American patriots who love your country and want a better future for all of our people”, Trump said in Iowa.

Clinton’s campaign initially said she had been suffering the ill effects of dehydration and “overheating”.

After an extremely rough few days for Clinton, Obama used a fiery appearance before a crowd of 6,000 in Philadelphia to try to turn the tables on Trump. “This is nothing more than another left-wing hit job”.

Recent investigative reports found “Trump’s foundation appears to have repeatedly broken IRS rules”.
