New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman has opened an inquiry into the Trump Foundation after extensive reporting has revealed the charitable organization may have been involved in pay-for-play political schemes.

“But we have been looking into the Trump Foundation to make sure it’s complying with the laws governing charities in NY”.
On Tuesday, Schneiderman told CNN’s Jake Tapper that his “interest in this issue really is in my capacity as regulator of nonprofits in NY state”.
“We have been concerned that the Trump Foundation has engaged in impropriety from that point of view”, added Schneiderman, who has been at loggerheads with the bombastic billionaire for years over the Trump University real estate program, which he has called “straight up fraud”. “We have been looking into the Trump Foundation to make sure it’s complying with the laws that govern charities in NY”.
Attorney general’s office investigating Trump Foundation’s actions amid calls for inquiry into 2013 political donation. While discussing his ongoing investigation into Trump University in June-part of a separate lawsuit brought by the attorney general’s office-Schneiderman characterized Trump’s defunct “university” as “a fraud from beginning to end”.
Bondi, who has endorsed Trump, has called the AP report misleading.
At the same time, media paid attention to people and organizations, who received donations from the Trump Foundation. The story links Trump’s organization to foreign powers, worldwide financial players and even criminals.
Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton returns Thursday to the White House campaign fray after a few days at home recovering from pneumonia in a health scare that raised question marks on her ability to lead the country. “I didn’t make a big deal out of it or hold a press conference”, Schneiderman said.
Former secretary of state Colin Powell criticized both candidates – calling Trump “a national disgrace” and lamenting Clinton’s attempt to equate her email practices with his own – in emails that were posted online by hackers.
In a response on July 25, the Trump Foundation said that the contribution was “mistakenly made from the Foundation” and instead came from Trump’s personal funds. There has been no evidence that foreign donors to the foundation obtained favors from the State Department while Clinton headed the agency.
The takeaway here is Donald Trump has a habit of projecting his guilt onto his opponents.
“There is nothing [Trump] can say that will sway black voters …”
Obama hit out at “unfair” criticism of Clinton and insisted that she had “been subjected to more scrutiny and. more unfair criticism than anybody out here”.
In one email, Powell said: “Everything [Clinton] touches she kind of screws up with hubris”.

The emails were first reported by Buzzfeed News late Tuesday.
