Samsung is working on a new ‘Galaxy O series’ of smartphones
To top it all off, Samsung apparently has Galaxy V series and a Galaxy W tablet as well. Most of Samsung’s smartphones are available in the Galaxy series, such as the Galaxy S, Galaxy A, Galaxy Note, Galaxy J, and Galaxy E. The devices offered in the Galaxy series vary from entry-level and mid-range to high-end devices. The SM-G550 will be named Galaxy O5, while the smartphone with model number SM-G600 will be names Galaxy O7.

Although information on these new Samsung Galaxy O phones is scarce at the moment, we will of course bring more details as we hear them. They have model numbers SM-G550 and SM-G600, and it’s expected that their titles on release will be the Samsung Galaxy O5 and Galaxy O7 respectively.
Unfortunately we have no idea what the “O” series will represent.
All of these devices are Android except for the Galaxy Z, which runs the company’s own Tizen OS.
One has to wonder what Samsung is thinking here. These devices would be released under the Galaxy O series. It’s also hard for Samsung to support all of these devices with software updates. The Galaxy K series comes with a bulky, protruding primary camera and marketed as a camera-focused handset. This is in stark contrast to Apple’s tactics, which simply show the company focusing on its premium iPhone lineup and failing to give equal importance to its cheaper devices, notably the iPhone 5c, the only phone in their lineup which comes with a plastic body.

When will we see the Galaxy O? Given that, coinciding with the upcoming IFA 2015 held in September, will nearly been a year since the presentation of the Galaxy Grand Prime, will become the Galaxy range or the successor to the Samsung Galaxy Grand?
