The iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch are getting all the attention today with the public releases of iOS 10 and watchOS 3, but the Apple TV also just got a ton of new features thanks to the official release of tvOS 10. For example, you could say “show me horror movies starring Christopher Lee”, or “show me crime TV shows from the 70s”.

There are other features that come with tvOS 10, such as support for HomeKit and other third-party apps. Using Siri, you can turn off your connected lights or adjust the temperature of your home thermostat. Hence, users can enjoy the overhauled Apple Music and the new Photos “Memories” feature once the update is installed. And according to MacRumors, the latest Apple TV OS update comes with expanded Siri capabilities that can now enable users to search for content by topic with the help of Apple’s virtual assistant. Your Apple TV will automatically create photo albums based on the location and dates of the photos, and Memories will also put together a short video compilation of your photos.

Unfortunately, the best part of that update-the single sign-on for cable subscribers-has been delayed until later this fall. Hopefully that feature makes its way to tvOS soon.
