According to reports, The latest version of Apple’s operating software iOS 10, which became available for download on Tuesday, allows users to uninstall 23 built-in apps including Mail, Maps and Weather.

As expected, Apple’s newest iOS software for its iPhones and iPads finally lets users delete most the company’s default apps. Tap on the app store logo and an app tray will open. A few apps still provide access to their data, and you can use iExplorer to extract data from any app by scouring local iTunes back-ups – although there’s now no way to reinstate it.
A prompt in iTunes will ask you to update or restore. You can also play YouTube links from within the iMessage app. Here you can toggle on/off access to Today View (those widgets), Notifications View, Siri, Reply with Message, Home Control and Wallet. You will be able to receive lock notifications and check out the lock activity history in the Kevo app to boot. While not technically deleting them – they will still take up space on the phone – it’s possible to completely hide them using the same method to delete third-party apps.
Now, you’ll need to manually add the apps you want to use.
Testing out all those new features means the screen is staying on for longer and sucking juice from the battery.
Toggle Use Contact Info, Names and Passwords, and Credit Cards to Off (or just toggle whichever ones you don’t want to show up).
You may find that iOS 10 runs slower than iOS 9, in which case the problem could be down to a variety of things.
The Messages app has been redesigned to offer more expression options. This allows interesting possibilities such as using Siri to send WhatsApp messages, or order a cab.
Alongside the bricking issues, some of iOS 10’s new features have been irksome, such as the new method of unlocking your iPhone.

ETA – This app is great if you are meeting someone and their about anxious about your arrival time. You can share from your saved location or search from any nearby destination. Although we’ll have to wait to see how useful these features are, they’re a step toward making the virtual voice assistant smarter. When you start a text, you’ll notice three icons, an A, a heart and a camera.
