At Tokyo Game Show 2016, Konami will be showcasing the “first ever gameplay demo which will include brand new information about the upcoming title”.

The game is now being developed by members from the original Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain production team.

“Metal Gear Survive is a new co-op game that supports up to 4 players that is based on the world, and inspired by the action elements, featured in the acclaimed Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain”.

The reveal will happen as part of the Tokyo Game Show 2016, which is now being held in Japan.

The announcement trailer, which you can see below, outlines the zombified enemies that these stranded soldiers will be forced to take on in the game, as well as showing a brief shot of the old Mother Base, also transported through the wormhole with the soldiers.

Longtime fans of the Metal Gear series are anxiously awaiting the latest installment, which is the first development in the wake of series creator Hideo Kojima’s allegedly bitter departure from Konami. Join the App Trigger team!
