Zimmer has not announced whether Hill or Sam Bradford, whom the Vikings traded a first-round pick and more to acquire before the season, will start Sunday night against the Green Bay Packers.

That’s how deep Zimmer is willing to take the gamesmanship for this early NFC North showdown. The Packers are slight road favourites on Sports Interaction NFL odds. The grand opening of U.S. Bank Stadium will kickoff at 7:30 p.m. on NBC. As an NFC North team, the Vikings are aware that no team on that list is a proven threat and even as a die-hard Vikings fan that looks like 4 Green Bay wins in a row.
The importance of as numerous Vikings players being able to play on Sunday is clear, as losing the Inaugural Home Opener at US Bank Stadium would give the Green Bay Packers too much pleasure and Vikings fans too much sorrow. Or did they just poke an angry Packer?
The Packers’ defense wasn’t great against the pass vs. the Jaguars, allowing Blake Bortles to throw for 320 yards, but the run defense was strong.
The Packers are 10-2-1 SU in their last 13 games against the Vikings. Bradford gives the Vikings the best chance of doing that. It all depends on how quickly Bradford/Hill can gel with the wideouts-and tight end Kyle Rudolph-in order for this unit to improve its numbers from last season. “I don’t what it is about the West Coast, but I do know there’s going to be a lot of sleep and hydration and just be ready to play”.
Less than an hour later, Packers coach Mike McCarthy said, “My understanding is that it’s probably going to be Sam Bradford”.
Even though the Vikings lost quarterback Teddy Bridgewater to a season ending injury, Vikings fans are still optimistic about the season. Bradford is definitely an upgrade over Hill and he inherits a promising group of players on offense.
Hill completed 18 of 33 passes against the Titans for 236 yards without a touchdown or interception. Those are the questions you ask through the game-planning process, but the fact of the matter is it’s going to start with giving the ball to Adrian Peterson. He is better able to spread the field with his arm strength than Hill is. If Bradford gets the nod, it would be his third career start against Green Bay, the first two coming with St. Louis.
Rhodes missed the Vikings’ opener at Tennessee with a right knee injury suffered while he was stretching before the game, and his status is unclear for Sunday’s game against Green Bay.

In the same breath, however, McCarthy said his team would be prepared for both quarterbacks.
