During the episode, the Olympic medalist performed a foxtrot routine with professional partner Cheryl Burke to “Call Me Irresponsible”.

Longtime series host Tom Bergeron said Tuesday on Good Morning America that the incident was “really unnerving”.

Following Ryan’s performance with Cheryl Burke, judge Carrie Ann Inaba was trying to give feedback when two men suddenly walked onto the stage.

The two men were detained by security until police arrived to take them into custody.

Last month, Lochte was charged with making false report of robbery after claiming that he and three fellow USA swimmers were robbed at gunpoint after competing at the 2016 Summer Olympics.

Sam Satoodeh and Barzeen Soroudi were arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor trespassing and each held on $1,000 bail after the pair rushed the stage Monday to protest the Olympic swimmer on the ABC ballroom dancing competition. Lochte was suspended from the us swimming team for 10 months, the Post reports, and has become the poster boy for white male privilege.

It was a dance dance persecution on Monday night as two protesters targeting disgraced swimmer Ryan Lochte rushed the stage during the live premiere of Dancing with the Stars.

The protesters were released from police custody at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, with a court date set for October 4, according to documents from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

“So many feelings are going through my head right now”, Lochte told Bergeron on-air.

While some are not ready to forgive and forget, others think Lochte deserved a second chance and offered words of encouragement. As they approached Lochte, women in the audience who were also outfitted in the shirts, chanted, “Liar!” “I’m shocked, and I’m hurt for Ryan”, she said. That’s what the great people of Twitter were saying happened, after what appeared to be an unknown interruption took place, following the swimmer’s first performance on the show.
