Two victims at Denver Health Medical Center were in critical condition, two in serious condition and one in fair condition. Others were taken to University Hospital.

The bus veered off a roadway and crashed into a concrete wall, killing the driver and injuring several passengers, The Denver Post reported.

The school district said a crisis response team will be at Legacy High School on Monday “supporting staff and students”.

“Really, our focus needs to be making sure our students and staff are cared for”, he said. Heath Montgomery, a spokesman for the Denver International Airport, said the crash occurred at approximately 4:00 p.m.

An airport spokeswoman said that the bus carried 28 students and four adults.

When Legacy High School senior Keanna Smith learned about the school bus crash, she stated that she was “worried” as they all were “like a family”.

Sgt. Mike Farr says investigators still don’t know what caused Chopper to drive directly into the pillar. They’re also studying the bus for mechanical problems.

A student arrives at Legacy High School, Sept. 12, 2016. The Legacy football team lost to Chino High School on Friday night in California. The junior varsity game has been cancelled, however. Police interviewed the football players about the crash.

Students at a suburban Denver high school where a school bus driver was killed and high school football players and staffers injured Sunday resumed classes Monday.

“It would be curious that she comes back up around”, said Farr.
