Indianapolis looking for jump start on trip to Denver
The Colts (0-1) head into a Sunday game against the Broncos (1-0) having won eight of the past nine meetings, including three of four with Andrew Luck. His worst hit came when he was sandwiched by defensive end Vance Walker and linebacker Danny Trevathan, but he finished up and led the Colts to a 27-24 win in Indianapolis. “But I think in every year I’m trying to approach the game in a better, more efficient way”.

He pushed players to get at it early in practice and increased the tempo, hoping the emphasis would give them a jumpstart on Sundays.
Luckily for the Colts, they have a tremendous starting quarterback of their own. “The edge pressure you get, the way they run to the football, the linebackers are sideline-to-sideline and the secondary is as good a unit as there is in the National Football League”.
Luck led the Colts to a big win over the Broncos past year but ended up in the hospital afterward with a lacerated kidney and torn abdominal muscle that sidelined him for the final two months of the season. However, it was also Luck’s last game of 2015 after being hit simultaneously by two Denver defenders in the open field, injuring his kidney.
Facing the defending Super Bowl champions on the road is enough of a test for a team. Thomas suffered a bruised hip early in the first half of Denver’s season-opening win over the Carolina Panthers. The aggression is evident by the fact safety Darian Stewart and linebacker Brandon Marshall were fined for helmet-to-helmet hits on Newton.
“He looked OK with what we asked him to do”, Kubiak said, via the Denver Post. If he does, that could be a good sign that may also see him play this coming Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts. “They obviously forced us into that situation”, Luck said reflecting on last week’s loss.
“It’s just something about Indy, ” Denver running back C.J. Anderson said. Then in 2014, after losing the season opener out in Denver, the Colts returned to Mile High in the playoffs and beat the Broncos. “On the same token, we can know that this is a totally different year and what happened last year has zero bearing on this game”. He was listed as being limited in practice with a right shoulder issue. He had a sub-par performance in 2015 and the unfortunate injury is something he doesn’t really need at the moment. Among them was cornerback Patrick Robinson, who is recovering from a concussion, and safety T.J. Green, who missed practice time this week because of a knee injury.
“Everybody’s dialed in. It’s going to be one heck of a challenge”. We all know that.

Bowen’s Analysis: The Colts are going to need the Luck we saw in Week One for them to go into Denver and escape with yet another win over the Broncos. We’ve got to change that culture right now. “They start to get in that guy’s head a little bit and he starts to drop his eyes and start looking at the rush a little bit more instead of keeping ’em down the field to try to find his receiver, go through his progression and find his check-down”. That stage and all that stuff won’t be too big for them. “We’ve got to do a great job of preparing and getting these guys ready to go in all three phases”.
