According to ESPN’s Brett McMurphy, there is already a favorite emerging to serve as host for the ACC football championship and that is Orlando, Florida. That game is set for November 13. NY is one of several states to ban travel for its public employees to North Carolina that is non-essential and publicly funded.
Cartland said she has reached out to the Charleston Battery to see if there is interest in hosting the lacrosse championship.
But the women’s basketball tournament, sadly, offers little in the way of financial benefit to potential hosts.

The National Collegiate Athletic Association decided Monday to move seven scheduled championships out of the state for the exact same reason. College of Charleston will host the Gildan Charleston Classic basketball tournament November 17-20 at TD Arena. In February 2014, the conference announced a deal to keep the football championship game in Charlotte through 2019.
