They lead 10-6 with three games left and are 6-4 in Los Angeles. Solarte welcomed Dodgers’ De Leon to the big leagues with his career-best 15 home run of the year, a two-run shot that gave San Diego a momentary lead.

Fredrich did not factor in the decision, allowing four runs on six hits with three walks and four strikeouts in just 4 and 1/3 innings. The under is also 4-0 in the Dodgers’ last four home games, is 6-1 in their last seven games overall and is 4-1 in their last five games versus a team with a losing record.

Yangervis Solarte hit a two-run homer in the third and the Padres scored the tying and go-ahead runs in the fifth.

Luis Perdomo (7-8) allowed five runs and nine hits in six innings, struck out five and walked none.

Albert Pujols and C.J. Cron hit back-to-back home runs in the first inning, and six relievers combined to shut down Seattle after starter Matt Shoemaker was hit in the head with a line drive. He struck out the side in the sixth to finish with a flourish.

Kenley Jansen pitched the ninth to earn his 42nd save in 48 chances.

San Diego released INF Alexei Ramirez, who batted.240 in 128 games.

The Dodgers will get their ace back in time for the postseason push as Clayton Kershaw is set to rejoin the rotation this Friday against the Marlins. He won’t have a specific pitch count, but will be monitored.

Kershaw pitched a successful minor league rehab start Saturday. They open a 3-game series back home against the Red Sox with a Labor Day afternoon matchup.

By the time Kershaw returns to the mound, he will have missed 2½ months, and even if he pitches deep into his handful of starts before the postseason, he won’t have the 162 innings needed to qualify for the ERA title (he now has 121).
