Trump retreats from vow to deport all living in United States illegally
The meeting between Donald Trump and Mexico’s President Enrique Pena Nieto was polite on Wednesday.

In his highly anticipated speech in Phoenix, Trump embraced a hardline conservative position – painting a bleak picture of the impact of immigration, rallying the Republican base and defending his signature proposal: a wall on the US-Mexico border.
“At the beginning of the conversation with Donald Trump, I made it clear Mexico will not pay for the wall”, Peña Nieto said on Twitter.
On Aug. 31, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump gave a speech about his plans to deal with illegal immigration.
“We only want to admit those into our country who share our values and love our people”, Trump said.
Instead, I’m going to deliver a detailed policy address on one of the greatest challenges facing our country today, illegal immigration.
“We all know what Trump’s plans are if he’s elected: build a wall around our border and deport millions of people”, said House Democratic Leader Crisanta Duran.
In Mexico City, Trump endured without complaint a lecture from the Mexican president, who said that NAFTA has been good for “the U.S.as well as Mexico” and that the U.S. Chamber of Commerce thinks that more than 6 million American jobs rely on trade with Mexico.
“Aiming to appear statesmanlike, he traveled to politically hostile territory to meet with a president who might have surprised him with a rebuke, and he also risked support from some conservatives who do not want him cozying up to Mexico or softening his immigration plans”.
“A Trump presidency ensures us that our southern border will be secured, our current laws will be enforced and sanctuary cities will be put to an end”. By making the case in a nationally televised address that immigration overall has to be limited, Trump has embraced the ideals of a small group of activists who, for decades, have sought to sharply reduce all forms of migration to the United States. Pastor Alberto Delgado said while he didn’t agree with everything Trump had said on immigration, he will continue his role on the advisory board. But on a core issue that vaulted him to prominence – that powered his unlikely rise through the primaries, and to the nomination – he’s shown that he’s sticking with what got him this far. Vice President Joe Biden stumps in the Hawkeye State for Clinton, hitting Warren (at 11:00 am ET) and Parma (at 5:45 pm ET)…
The national news media haven’t delved into Trump’s payment threat in any detail, but the former reality TV star has the screwy idea of seizing billions of dollars that many illegals regularly send to their families back home.
But it did enter the discussion, because Pena Nieto said he brought it up right off the bat. On “Today” this morning, Hillary Clinton running mate Tim Kaine called Trump’s performance in Mexico “diplomatic amateur hour”, saying: “You can’t say different things to different audiences”.
‘We decided to make a big U-turn to see if we could make him change, ‘ said Aguilar, according to Politico. “And we will start celebrating America”.

“Mexico will pay for the wall, 100 percent”, the NY businessman said. While illegal immigration from Mexico has been slowing and the US crime rate has been declining, he paints a picture of undocumented immigrants streaming across the border and overwhelming countless neighborhoods with violent crimes. By contrast, Republican Latinos say they’re disappointed.
