Hacked Powell emails brand Trump a disgrace
Former US secretary of state Colin Powell dubbed Donald Trump a “national disgrace” and an “international pariah” in personal email exchanges hacked and leaked online.

A spokesman for Powell confirmed to ABC news on Tuesday night that the emails were accurate but declined any further comment.
“He appeals to the worst angels of the GOP nature and poor white folks”, Powell wrote of the Republican White House nominee, in one of the messages obtained by DC Leaks, a website affiliated with other recent hacks of high-profile United States figures, and first published by Buzzfeed.
Hillary Clinton was “wrong” for dragging former Secretary of State Colin Powell – “a national institution” – into the email scandal that has plagued her, Rep. Peter King told Newsmax TV. Powell has acknowledged using a commercial email address for some official business.
“I think Hillary can’t believe she might not make it”, Leeds wrote to Powell in March 2015. “She keeps tripping into these “character” minefields”, Powell said.
The release of Powell’s emails is the latest in a string of leaks that appear meant to influence the 2016 presidential election.
At the same time, NY state’s top law enforcement official said he had opened an investigation into the Donald J Trump Foundation, citing worries the charity has been involved in “impropriety”. In another spot, he declared of Clinton that “Everything HRC touches she kind of screws up with hubris”. Powell despises Trump; and 2.
“He is at 1% black voters and will drop”, Powell wrote, citing the birther campaign Trump ran as a major reason. He also took on former Pres. Jimmy Carter’s legacy as a means of attacking Obama, writing, “I used to have significant criticism of Jimmy Carter, but compared to Barack Obama and the damage he is doing to the nation – it’s a tragedy, a real tragedy, and we are going to pay a hell of a price just trying to dig out from under his presidency”.
While partying at a ritzy Hamptons gala in August, Powell denied he was the inspiration for Clinton’s controversial server and told reporters the Clinton camp was trying to blame him for her technology woes. Decrying “friggin record rules”, Powell wrote that he “saw email more like a telephone than a cable machine”. He was apparently irritated by her aides’ linking him into the controversy over her use of a private e-mail server while she served as Secretary of State.

“Yup, the whole birther movement was racist”.
