On Thursday, however, Robinson was informed that he is among 14 players who will serve a one-game suspension on Saturday, effectively crushing his dream.
Buccaneers running back Ben Robinson, who is from Tallahassee, said in a Facebook post that he and about 30 other players have been suspended “for using book money to buy other things” in the campus bookstore.
Robinson wrote that bookstore employees urged the players to spend whatever funds were left after buying books since it would go to waste.
The NCAA has reportedly cracked down on more than a dozen Charleston Southern football players for purchasing items other than books at the school bookstore. “Then he started to get some runs and we started seeing the old Dalvin coming back”. As a private school, Charleston Southern is under no obligation to release the names of the suspended players, and since it’s a non-conference game, it does not have to release an injury report.

School officials said the suspensions are for violating NCAA rules involving financial aid.

Charleston Southern first announced an internal review of the NCAA violations last week.

Charleston, ranked No. 7 in the FCS Coaches Poll, was already down to their third string quarterback ahead of the game against FSU, which is ranked No. 3 in the Amway Coaches Poll. Frank Cirone, a redshirt junior, wrote on Facebook that the entire offensive line was suspended for the game.
This is a flat-out mess on multiple levels. and, just so you know, Charleston Southern and the #FreeTheBucs hashtag are four spots below Hillary Clinton in what is now trending on Twitter.
Yet, it is apparent the Charleston Southern administration did not properly explain the rule to its players or else the Buccaneers likely would have a full complement of players this weekend.

Korn shared a similar sentiment: “I’m bewildered at the lack of respect that the university is showing us athletes and student body as a whole”.
