“New home and new challenge, can’t wait to get it going…thanks to everyone who made this possible“, he wrote.

He does hint at a slight annoyance that it’s taken this long (“finally”); I wonder if his motor accident played any part in it. Regardless, he’s here now, partly on advice of fellow Ghanians Christian Atsu and Michael Essien, both of whom only had good words about Chelsea.
Speaking about the move, the left-back expressed his his happiness at joining the club.
“I watched him [Essien] whenever I could”.
Rahman said in a statement, according to the club’s official website, that leaving was not an easy decision but called the move to Chelsea a “big opportunity”.
“It’s important because he’s a left-back and he can compete with Azpilicueta”, Mourinho said. “In the Premier League there is a heavy emphasis on getting up and down the pitch, which I like to do”.
Rahman also answered personal questions, explaining why he has chosen to have “Baba” on the back of his shirt, rather than his surname. He’s a Chelsea supporter so he’s very happy and proud’. “He’s not in the country at the moment but he will definitely be watching every game”.

Chelsea confirmed on their website the move of defender Baba Rahman from Bundesliga club FC Augsburg, although no information regarding the amount of the deal was revealed. Obviously Chelsea won the Premier League last season and I hope we can repeat that, and do even more. “That’s what I hope to achieve”.
