Doctor: Hillary Clinton ‘Healthy and Fit to Serve as President’
Dr. Lisa Bardack said Clinton had been diagnosed with a non-bacterial, non-contagious form of pneumonia and that she’s “healthy and fit to serve as President of the United States”. Concerns over Clinton’s health were raised after video showed she seemingly “collapsed” as she was leaving a 9/11 memorial event early due to “overheating”.

Clinton received a 10-day course of antibiotics, and since Sunday has rested at her home in Chappaqua, New York, where she “continues to improve”, Bardack’s letter said.
She “is recovering well with antibiotics and rest” after being laid low over the weekend, when she suffered from fatigue and a low-grade fever, although her vital signs remained normal, Ms. Bardack said.
Her rival Donald Trump is also being called on to reveal his own medical records, something he has not done save for a brief letter released last year by Harold Bornstein, the Republican nominee’s doctor for 35 years.
She’s up to date on immunizations, including Prevnar and Pneumovax, created to prevent disease caused by strains of the Streptococcus pneumoniae bacteria. So far, the businessman has only released a widely mocked letter from his longtime physician declaring he would be the healthiest president in history.
“This is the catastrophe that happens when [we] take care of every country except for our own”, Trump said in Canton in the U.S. state of OH on Wednesday. Clinton’s congestion got worse and she developed a cough, wrote Bardack, saying Clinton was examined again September 9.
The letter also notes that in January, during the run-up to the Iowa caucuses, Clinton developed a sinus and ear infection that was initially treated with antibiotics and steroids. After the embarrassing episode, she has stayed off the campaign trail to recover. She began to feel dizzy and almost collapsed while getting into a Secret Service van, which took her to her daughter Chelsea’s apartment to rest.
Wednesday’s letter said recent testing, in coordination with her hematologist, all within the past month, had come back normal.
She said that is “healthy and fit to serve as President of the United States”.
The complication led Mrs Clinton to spend a few days in hospital and take a month off from her job at the State Department.
The Hillary Clinton campaign has released updated health information for the Democratic presidential candidate. Still, there is still little known about Clinton’s medical history before 2012.
Trump handed Dr. Mehmet Oz, the show’s host, a one-page summary of the physical exam he took last week, CNN Money reported Wednesday.
“In stark contrast, Donald Trump is hands down the least transparent presidential nominee in memory”.
The Republican presidential nominee shared information about the exam just hours after his campaign signaled he would only talk about health matters in a very general sense. And it begs the question: “what is he trying to hide?” Dr. Brian Monahan, who oversees the Office of the Attending Physician in the U.S. Congress, said Kaine, as of his last physical last February, was in “overall excellent health”.
“Well, I have really no problem in doing it”, the 70-year-old Trump responds.

“His Doctor Oz charade is as completely unserious as his original joke of a letter written in five minutes”, Mook said.
