The highly anticipated iOS 10 update caused major issues for some iPhone users following its launch on Tuesday afternoon. “The problem was quickly resolved and we apologize to those customers”, an Apple spokesperson told The Verge.

If iTunes is already open, close it, then connect your device to a computer and open iTunes.
The new operating system from the tech giant, which was released as a free download earlier this week, was first showcased by the company at an annual developer conference in June.
The new software iOS 10 is available to download via iTunes or over the air.
Connect the phone to iTunes and force restart the handset by pressing the Sleep and Home buttons. Gone is the familiar “slide to unlock” method, replaced by the combination of Touch ID and the press of the home button. Unless you’re into an endless barrage of dumb slot machine apps and Flappy Bird clones (Yes, people still release hundreds of each of those a day.) there’s not a whole lot.
If you like a specific Sticker sent to you by a friend and want to know where they got it, just tap and hold the sticker until the pop up box appears. By doing so, it simplifies the communication process without you even needing to type a single letter.
One of the most significant updates is that of the emoji keyboard, including a complete redesign of the tiny images.
Eager smartphone and tablet owners downloaded the update only to discover that it “bricked” their devices, meaning the gadgets would shut down and refuse to start back up. According to The Verge, the issue is a failed update process where the device asks to be plugged to a PC to restore the OS. In doing this, users risked losing photos, documents or other data that wasn’t backed up properly before downloading the update. However, deleting stock apps only hides them away and not delete them from your device entirely.
