Chelsea land Marcos Alonso, David Luiz on Deadline Day
David Luiz has re-signed for Chelsea in a transfer deal which has stunned the football world.

The Spanish left-back and Cuadrado were team-mates for one season at Fiorentina and now the Colombia winger has returned to Serie A and is back with Juventus on the day Alonso moved to Stamford Bridge.
Oscar was team-mates with the Brazilian defender for two seasons at Stamford Bridge before Luiz moved to the French champions in June 2014, while the pair are also worldwide colleagues.
Speaking shortly after signing his five-year contract, a joyful Alonso expressed how easy it was to make the decision to join the Blues.
He played a huge role in Chelsea’s Champions League triumph in 2012, scoring several key goals, including in the penalty shootout against Barcelona which saw the London club go through to the final.
Courtois, who is on worldwide duty with Roberto Martinez’s Belgium, believes Luiz can aid Chelsea’s quest of returning to winning trophies.
However, the maverick defender then fell behind John Terry and Gary Cahill in the centre-back pecking order.
“I’m here because I have ambition to play for a big club and when you play for a big club you need to think about winning every single match”.
Mangala, who has not featured for new coach Pep Guardiola this season, becomes the fourth player to leave the Etihad Stadium on deadline day following the departures of Wilfried Bony, Samir Nasri and England goalkeeper Joe Hart.
So Chelsea successfully pursued a deal to bring back their former star back to the Premier League for £20m less than they sold him for in 2014, opting for experience over potential. It’s time for me to win some titles.

After his return was confirmed, Luiz told the club’s official website: “I’m delighted to return to Chelsea”.
