A recovering Hillary Clinton to rejoin campaign on Thursday
She “is recovering well with antibiotics and rest” after being laid low over the weekend, when she suffered from fatigue and a low-grade fever, although her vital signs remained normal, Bardack said.

The letter, from Clinton’s doctor, Lisa Bardack, is meant to put to rest concerns about the Democratic presidential nominee’s health after the illness caused her to stumble out of a memorial service Sunday and forced her off the campaign trail for days.
But even as Clinton takes a couple of days off the stump and her campaign wrestles with legitimate questions about a lack of transparency during the Sunday scare, the rumor mill churns apace. Bardack wrote that despite her recent setback, Clinton “continues to remain healthy and fit to serve as president of the United States”. “Over the ensuing few weeks, she noted progressive pain in her left ear despite treatment, and subsequently was evaluated by her ENT physician”, she said.
The event is expected to be Clinton’s first since her campaign announced that she has pneumonia.
The new letter from Clinton’s doctor stated that a chest scan revealed she had “mild, non-contagious bacterial pneumonia”.
Health issues have dominated the campaign trail for days, sidelining other questions like funding for Mr Trump’s foundation – now the subject of a probe in NY state – with less than two weeks to go before the candidates’ first debate. At the same time, Obama made no reference to another controversy that has hung over her campaign in recent days – comments Friday that half of Trump’s supporters belong in a “basket of deplorables”.
Clinton’s medical history included deep vein thrombosis in 1998 and 2009, an elbow fracture in 2009, and a blood clot discovered in followups to her 2012 concussion, Bardack said previous year.
Beyond that, everything seems fine, according to Bardack. Yet he, too, has been circumspect about releasing details of her medical records.
In any case, his off-the-cuff remark about Hillary Clinton on Wednesday night wasn’t just based on the lie that she is unfit to serve, but it was also terribly inappropriate – especially when Trump’s own health is questionable.
Earlier this week, both candidates pledged to release updated medical records, amid questions about their ability to keep up with the grueling demands of the presidency.
The show released a short clip on Wednesday that did not include any medical information.
The Republican White House nominee handed over a one-page summary of that examination while appearing on The Dr Oz Show. In it, Trump told Oz he had two letters with him showing results of tests conducted last week.
According to Trump’s campaign manager, Sarah Huckabee, Trump is in good health although he could lose a few kilos, as now he weighs about 120 kg.

The information from a report by Trump’s doctor wasn’t released to the public. Most of the time, they have no medical expertise at all. Clinton hosted a campaign rally last Thursday in Charlotte at Johnson C. Smith University. Dr Brian Monahan, who oversees the Office of the Attending Physician in the US Congress, said Kaine, as of his last physical in February 2015, was in “overall excellent health”.
