Packers prepared for any quarterback the Vikings have

Before the Vikings vacated the old Metrodome after the 2013 season and moved into the University of Minnesota’s outdoor TCF Bank Stadium for two years, Green Bay won three of its last four road games there.

The Minnesota Vikings host the Green Bay Packers Sunday night in the brand now U.S. Bank Stadium, and tickets for the big game are at a premium.

When Zimmer was asked if McCarthy had a source telling him Bradford would get the call, the Vikings coach quipped: “I hope not in this building”.

I felt comfortable with the game plan last week. But then Bradford didn’t start opening weekend and it doesn’t look like he will until head coach Mike Zimmer is satisfied that Bradford knows the offense. Just hearing the language last week and being around the game planning process and understanding how it goes here, I think we can definitely have a full game plan. “I”™m sure they didn”™t go well for us.”.

“I just figured it’d be good sports talk radio”.

The biggest question surrounding the Vikings is whether newly acquired quarterback Sam Bradford will get the start on Sunday.

After a season ending injury to Teddy Bridgewater in the preseason, Minnesota traded a 1st and a 4th round pick to the Philadelphia Eagles for quarterback Sam Bradford. He completed 18-of-33 passes for 236 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions with a 77.3 rating – numbers that don’t exactly jump off the box score.

It’s not often you are going to win an National Football League game without scoring an offensive touchdown, but the Vikings did so in Week 1 in a 25-16 victory at Tennessee. “I would say he’s picking it up extremely well”.

Meanwhile, Vikings coach Mike Zimmer continued to avoid the subject for competitive reasons. Minnesota’s previous postseason appearance, in 2012, was thanks to 2,097-yard output, a gargantuan season coming off a torn ACL from late in 2011. I’m really happy about ’em.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers (12) throws the ball against the Jacksonville Jaguars during the first half at EverBank Field in Jacksonville, Fla., on Sunday. “They did a good job covering it, 61 yards, but I wish it was 100 yards”.

Next we have the Packers’ “color rush” jersey prominently displaying, uh, white trousers. Awesome!

“It’s part of the challenge of playing over there”, McCarthy said.

Meanwhile, the Vikings are 5-1 ATS in their last six against the NFC North, and 13-3 ATS in their last 16 following a straight-up win. That being said, Rodgers and company present a tough test for the team. Fox play-by-play man Dick Stockton said on air during the Titans game that Zimmer told the team last Thursday.

The Vikings will provide a formidable test for Green Bay’s offensive line, which had to deal with the release of guard Josh Sitton on September 3.
