Clinton is healthy, mentally competent, fit to serve as president, doctor says
“She continues to remain healthy and fit to serve as President of the United States”, said Dr. Lisa Bardarck, Clinton’s personal doctor.

Her campaign had been pressed to be more transparent about Clinton’s health, particularly after it failed to reveal her Friday pneumonia diagnosis until Sunday, when she almost collapsed as she left the Ground Zero site in NY.
Clinton’s physician also found that the remainder of the Democratic candidate’s complete physical exam was “normal” and that she is in “excellent mental condition”. The campaign was forced to make her diagnosis public Sunday after the candidate collapsed at a 9/11 memorial ceremony and video emerged of her apparently struggling to get into her truck.
The almost eight-hour gap between when Clinton was first reported to have stumbled and when her campaign disclosed her pneumonia has revived questions about her penchant for secrecy. Bardack said in the letter that she’s examined Clinton multiple times since then, as recently as Wednesday. “She continues to remain healthy and fit to serve”. Clinton’s remarks Thursday will focus on lifting up children and families, as the campaign tries to break through with a more positive message. Bardack advised rest; Clinton continued her campaign trail travel, and a week later-last Friday-she saw Bardack again when her symptoms had worsened.
Robby Mook, Hillary for America Campaign Manager, said: “It’s fair to say the public now knows more about Hillary Clinton than almost anyone in public life”.
Donald Trump knows he could stand to lose a few pounds but otherwise is in great health, campaign adviser Sarah Huckabee Sanders told MSNBC on Wednesday after the Republican presidential candidate filmed a TV segment about his well-being.
Trump surrogate and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani went even further last month, falsely claiming that there are “several signs of a Clinton illness” and that the media “fails to point out several signs of illness by her”.
The doctor also reported Clinton’s blood pressure reading was 100/70, and her heart rate at 70.
According to Bardack’s letter, she saw Clinton on September 2 for a low-grade fever, congestion and fatigue. She takes medication for an underactive thyroid and a blood thinner following a 2012 blood clot in her head while secretary of state.
“I probably would have been better off if I’d just pulled down my schedule on Friday”, Clinton said in a Monday interview on CNN, adding, “I just didn’t think it was going to be that big a deal”.
Clinton’s decision to release her records on Wednesday heads off Trump’s previewed announcement.
