In the meantime, South Park Season 20 will premiere on September 14. “Then at dawn, when all the clouds and the smoke and everything cleared away, he could see our (American) flag flying”.
Kaepernick’s protest has been the most talked about occurrence during the season thus far, and many have argued that it’s been an important and courageous way to get this country talking about real issues.
The new “South Park” video features the small town’s residents singing a new version of the national anthem that reflects the San Francisco 49ers backup quarterback’s protests, but also the necessity of police.
“It’s very painful for me, ” Isham said.
Kaepernick set off a firestorm of controversy when he refused to stand during the National Anthem prior to a preseason game last month. She bought a Kaepernick jersey – which since the protest began has become a best seller – in an effort to show solidarity. “And ultimately I understand what he’s doing”, he said. “I hope he goes home and really thinks about what he said and how it impacts not just (him) but how it impacts people whose lives are affected by these issues on a daily basis”.
Though I don’t necessarily agree with Kaepernick’s method, and thought the socks with a pig dressed as a cop was terribly offensive, I will not argue against his protest or against the somewhat positive results.

Golden State Warriors star Kevin Durant commended Kaepernick for standing up for what he believes in, while his teammate Steph Curry said he’s happy such freedom of speech exists in America but still plans to stand before games himself. I understand how people feel. “A lot of times people that are born free think that freedom is free and it’s not”.
