Nigeria Rise To 64th — Latest FIFA Ranking

Nigeria on Thursday moved up by three spots to place 64th in the world in the September ranking by Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA), world’s football governing body.

Zambia, who hosts Nigeria next month in final round of the qualifying series for the World Cup, is now 92nd in the world.

However, the Mikel Obi-captained side remain the 14 the best team in Africa, behind teams like Guinea, Congo and South Africa.

Top ten African teams: 1), Cote d’Ivoire, 2) Algeria, 3) Senegal, 4) Tunisia, 5) Ghana, 6) Congo DR, 7) Egypt, 8) Congo, 9) Mali and 10) Morocco.

Cameroon, who are also drawn against Nigeria in the World Cup qualifiers, dropped five places to 59 in the world.

Back on the global ladder, Argentina and Belgium still occupy the first and second spots, with Germany moving a place up to third. He now serve as Information Technology Officer with Africa’s Largest TV Network.
