Donald Trump will release medical records on Thursday’s broadcast of The Dr. Oz Show, as well as discuss the results of his most recent physical examination, according to information revealed during Wednesday’s taping of the show.
The letter, released Thursday, is more detailed than one he had released previously that consisted largely of platitudes. “It goes back further in time”, said Dr. Sanjay Gupta, CNN’s chief medical correspondent and a practicing neurosurgeon.
“Well, I really have no problem in doing it”, Trump said, according to a clip released by the show on Wednesday.
Trump shared the results of a recent physical exam during a taping of the talk show, with Oz reading from a summary of exam results that Trump is 6-foot, 3-inches tall and weighs 236 pounds.
Trump’s testosterone level is 441.6.
Trump’s cholesterol is 169, his blood pressure is 116 over 70 and his blood sugar is 99 milligrams per deciliter. Trump’s level of triglycerides, which are a type of fat in blood, is 61 milligrams per deciliter.
Trump takes a statin drug, called rosuvastatin, which treats high cholesterol and triglyceride levels.
The medications which Trump is listed as taking are a lipid-lowering agent and a low dose of aspirin.
Donald Trump sat down with controversial TV host Dr. Mehmet Oz on his show, set to air Thursday, to discuss his personal health and medical history.
Trump’s long-time doctor Harold Bornstein had written a one page letter which said that his liver and thyroid functions are “all within the normal range”.
Trump’s latest electrocardiogram test and chest X-ray took place in April 2016 and were “normal”.
Trump released a separate letter from Bornstein in December, in which the physician said that his patient, if elected, would “unequivocally” be “the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency”.
Trump’s “laboratory results” from a blood test and other exams are also given. It resulted in a low score of 0.15. His calcium score was 98 in 2013.
“Mr. Trump was hospitalized only once, as a child of 11 years old for an appendectomy”, Bornstein writes. “Mr. Trump’s parents, Mary and Fred, lived into their late 80s and 90s”.
