North Carolina, which 2012 GOP nominee Mitt Romney won four years ago and has been carried by Republicans in eight out of the last 10 presidential elections, appears to be a virtual tossup at this point.

“Throughout it all, she put the country, and I mean the entire country, at risk in order to cover up her pay for play scandals as secretary of state”, Trump alleged.

Carvey, on NBC’s “Today” show, was impersonating Russian leader Vladimir Putin and commending Lauer for his work on the previous evening’s national security forum.

In order to reach that goal, Trump said, he’d need a major investment from the states.

Her husband, former President Bill Clinton, will campaign in Orlando on Wednesday.

The Labor Day holiday traditionally kicks off the last stretch of campaigning ahead of the November 8 election.

Other than this general mission, the grant would give states substantial leeway to use the money however they wish.

Education was the central theme, but Trump began his speech by bashing Hillary Clinton.

Obama also hit back at Trump for criticizing his foreign policy record, saying the Republican nominee was unfit to follow him into the Oval Office and the public should press him on his “outright wacky ideas”. The reception illustrated the pressure that will be on moderators for the three face-to-face debates between Clinton and Trump later this fall.

Trump, who has never held elected office, has criticized Clinton’s judgment, attacking her vote in favor of the 2003 Iraq war and her support for the US intervention in Libya in 2011.

Trump, more accustomed to presiding over big rallies from a stage, plunged into a crowd at a county fair where supporters had built a replica of the wall the Republican nominee has pledged to build along the U.S. -Mexico border. “That’s not only unsafe, it should be disqualifying”.

Lauer received the most criticism for not challenging Trump on the candidate’s claim that he opposed the war in Iraq before it happened, despite a 2002 interview where he said he supported it. Clinton, who was interviewed earlier by Lauer, had referenced that Trump interview with Howard Stern. Afterwards, some of his supporters shrugged off his comments about Putin. “You have a fan”, Carvey, as Putin, said.

Clinton said Republicans holding or seeking office across the country should be pressed on whether they agree with Trump’s comments, including his views on Putin and USA generals that surfaced during the forum.
