In recent national polling, Clinton leads head-to-head match-ups against Trump, with the Democrat holding 45.6 percent support compared to 42.8 percent for the NY businessman, according to averages compiled by RealClear Politics. In Ohio, Trump earns 46 percent, and Clinton has fallen, by 4 percentage points in the last month, to 45 percent. Meanwhile, 34% of registered voters think that Trump will win in November.

According to Quinnipiac, Trump also holds a four-point edge in OH, and he is tied with Clinton at 43% in Florida, according to the poll.

Half of voters – 50 percent – said that Trump is honest and trustworthy while only 35 percent said that same of Clinton. Those who trust Clinton on immigration overwhelmingly say the nation’s top immigration priority should be finding a way for those in the country illegally to stay (71 percent), while the Trump backers are more focused on stopping people from entering the country illegally (56 percent).

OH voters are also basically evenly divided between Trump and Clinton in a one-on-one matchup, 46 percent-45 percent, but when third-party candidates are added, Trump has a 4-point lead 41 percent to 37 percent.

778 Pennsylvania likely voters with a margin of error of +/- 3.5 percentage points.

In a four-way general election match-up, Clinton leads Trump by a slightly narrower 4-point margin – 41 percent to 37 percent. Among registered voters, Clinton’s favorables have been trending downward and unfavorables have been trending upward.

“We’re going to make that decision into the future”, Trump said.

And on immigration, it’s a tie – 49 percent favor Clinton, 47 percent support Trump. Johnson’s numbers fell to 9 percent from 13 percent after mid-July and appear to have stayed there.

However, a win for Clinton in Ohio, Florida or North Carolina would likely seal a victory for her campaign. The leading candidate is up by within the polls error margin in nine states.

“What was a comfortable 10-point Hillary Clinton cushion in Pennsylvania is now a 5-point lead”, said Tim Malloy, assistant director of the Quinnipiac poll.
