Bills’ Watkins questionable for Thursday

Coming off a short week the Bills are stuck with many questions with few answers in sight. “Thursday nights are exciting to play on because you have all of your peers watching you, and you just want to go out there and show everybody what kind of team we have”. So besides putting the players’ health at greater risk by making them play with only three days rest between games, they dress them in clown outfits.

The Jets Offense: Quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick looked out of sync with his star receivers Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker, even though this was against a good Cincinnati defense, as both receivers failed to haul in more than half of their targets. Nobody on either team needs to be reminded that the Bills swept the Jets a year ago, with Rex extra-fired up each time (especially in a November Thursday night win at the Meadowlands), and it pretty much cost the Jets the playoffs.

Last week at home against the Bengals, the Jets offense was contained for most of the day by a stingy Bengals secondary. Jets facing Bills’ offense that sputtered last week and features limping WR Sammy Watkins (left foot).

“LeSean McCoy gets 100 yards rushing and Tyrod Taylor adds 40 yards rushing”.

Going into the matchup, Fitzpatrick revealed that he doesn’t pay much mind to his history against Ryan. On Thursday, the Jets are going to continue to struggle against the Bills and start the season 0-2.

And the Jets probably could stand to win Thursday night after their season-opening loss to the Bengals.

The Jets haven’t won on the Bills’ turf since 2011, when Buffalo’s quarterback was a guy named Ryan Fitzpatrick. “We really struggled and we clearly have to get better in a hurry!”

– The Jets also lost to the Bills in Week 10 last season – also 22-17 – with Fitzpatrick throwing another two interceptions and completing less than 50 percent of his passes.

When all is said and done, I feel the Jets defense will be the difference, leading the team in green to the victory.

WATKINS LIMPING: Revis might have an easier time defending Watkins, who had 11 catches for 136 yards in last season’s finale.

“He has the size, he has the speed, he’s very elusive, and I think also he’s a very intelligent football player”, Revis said. “But the depth behind him, with the suspension to Seantrel, isn’t what it used to be to say the least”, said Bills Head Coach Rex Ryan. Buffalo scored just one TD and accumulated a meager 160 yards of total offense in the 13-7 loss at Baltimore.

The New York Jets will be heading north to face to the Buffalo Bills in a very important Week 2 game.

The Jets have had a hard time beating the Bills, dating all the way back to Ryan’s coaching days in NY. It is obviously his strength, but a conservative game plan won’t push them over the edge in this one.
