Danica Patrick stays with SHR; new sponsor Nature’s Bakery
Danica Patrick is staying with Stewart-Haas Racing long-term and will see Nature’s Bakery act as her primary sponsor beginning in 2016. Among her fellow former female Cup competitors, Patrick surpassed records set by Janet Guthrie for starts (33) and top-10 finishes (five). Patrick quickly became one of the most popular drivers in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, winning the Sprint Fan Vote for the All-Star Race twice out of the last three years. “There’s still a lot I want to achieve in this sport and I’m looking to continue my professional journey with a brand as determined as I am”. She said “nope” Tuesday when asked if she even spoke to other NASCAR organizations.

Nature’s Bakery replaces GoDaddy, which announced in April it would cease sponsoring Patrick’s team at the conclusion of the 2015 season.
But now a new sponsor has swooped in to give Patrick backing for the 2016 season. Her boss Tony Stewart said Tuesday that Patrick has been a huge asset to the team.
Patrick this season has two Top-10 finishes and now sits in 22nd place in the Sprint Cup Series standings.
“They have ambitious goals and they’re going to rely on me and everyone at Stewart-Haas Racing to deliver”, she said. “I’ve been extremely fortunate in my career to not have to think about that”. She finished 25th in this past weekend’s Pure Michigan 400.
“We purchase Haas Automation machinery”, Dave Marson who founded the company with his son Sam in 2010 said. Its deal with Patrick means no more neon green paint for her No. 10.

“I think there’s a point in time where at the end of the season we need to be talking about Danica being in the chase and having fifteen top 10 finishes, you can only go so long on being Danica Patrick“, Rice said. “We are a normal American company that is living the American dream”.
