Gears of War 4 Season Pass Gets More Card Packs

Gears of Wars 4 Release date has been announced but first Horde Mode has been called egalitarian since gamers need to work together in order to get passed ten waves before finally coming face-to-face with the ultimate boss. Now that the dust from that has settled, the dev is ready to talk some specifics about the mode. It’s the name of an achievement that has appeared in every entry in the Gears of War franchise, one that causes most players to scoff, throw their hands up in the air and admit defeat upon merely gazing at the ludicrous achievement requirements.

The mode will also contain a new class-based system which allows the player to choose between one of five roles: engineer, heavy, scout, sniper and soldier.

Sniper – can specialize either into Headshot damage boosts or general damage boosts and reload speed reduction, and has two unique Fabricator skills that can eliminate a lot of enemies at once, or mark them all with a Radar Ping. Skills are unlocked via Skill Cards, which can be found in Gear Packs or purchased using either in-game or premium currency. These include Horde Boosters, Elite Packs, Operations Packs and Versus Boosters. All-in-all, players will walk away with an impressive 85 cards to aid them in their efforts in the game. It can be pretty easy to entice players to buy premium currency to buy more of these boosters. According to a tweet from The Coalition studio head, Rod Fergusson, the Gears of War 4 Season Pass will now come with more goodies than originally planned. Each one isn’t so much hard as they are time consuming, but “Seriously 4.0” does look to streamline the achievement a bit by putting the emphasis less on quantity and more on mastering each aspect of Gears of War 4.
