Rookie Carlos Correa homered and his RBI single in the 13th inning gave the Houston Astros a 3-2 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays on Wednesday night. For the third time in four games they won on a walk-off hit.

Keuchel yielded seven hits and two runs with five strikeouts in 7-plus innings. For Thursday’s game the Rays start Chris Archer who has allowed 128 hits and 52 earned runs while striking out 194 over 160 innings for a 10-9 record and a 2.92 ERA.
Correa launched his two-out solo homer to the seats in left field to make it 1-0 in the first.
But the result was painfully the same, a second straight extra-innings walkoff loss to Houston that left the Rays shaking their heads in frustration after a stunning turn from a game they led 2-1 in the ninth. He moved to third on a wild pitch by Rays closer Brad Boxberger.
James Loney’s one-out sacrifice fly to right field sent Beckham dashing home. Preston Tucker struck out, which brought Evan Gattis to the plate. The Rays only had one base runner in the 10th through 13th, and the Astros only hit was immediately erased when Luis Valbuena tried to stretch a single into a double.
Rasmus drew a one-out walk, then went to third on a perfectly placed single by Jose Altuve, who bounced the ball through the shortstop hole as Tim Beckham broke to cover second.
The Astros finally rallied in the bottom of the 13th. Marwin Gonzalez had the chance to be the hero once again, but he struck out.
