No miracle for Man Utd players’ souls – Mourinho
Manchester United Coach, Jose Mourinho, has directed his squad to impress against Feyenoord in Thursday’s Europa League tie.

The Manchester United squad took a stroll around Rotterdam on Thursday as they geared up for tonight’s clash with Feyenoord. The Dutchman revealed that he still follows Liverpool’s games as much as he can and has fond memories with Fernando Torres and Steven Gerrard, who have both left Anfield.
“They didn’t create too many chances but we didn’t do enough either to win the game”.
“In that moment we were pushing and they capitalized because it is exactly at that moment where we lose the game, ” he said.
Among those players is 30-year-old captain Wayne Rooney who will not fly out ahead of the game but instead will be “rested” at home. Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Jesse Lingard are also out, with Mourinho stating that he does not want to concentrate on Europe, as it will hinder their progression in the league.
Rashford, however, has fond memories of the Europa League after scoring on his United debut in the competition back in February. “The next one we play is always the most important”. But of course I’m here not to let them be in a negative mood or in a negative period because we lost two matches – two matches where we didn’t play well for 90 minutes but two matches where we deserve a better result. I am a team player and I am ready.
I fully agree with Jose Mourinho’s statement. We are lucky it is not closed, just half of it, but half is not the same as full.
“We know we are not going to have any support on that but my squad is good”.
“My message to the players is with the players I bring”. The first half, my players were in control of the game but not pushing.
Marcus Rashford hopes to make history with Manchester United this season by winning the Europa League.

In Southampton, Charlie Austin scored a first-half brace and Jay Rodriguez guided in a Shane Long cross in injury time as the Saints put their stuttering English Premier League start behind them to comfortably beat Sparta Prague 3-0 in Group K. With only David de Gea, Paul Pogba and Eric Bailly retained from the side beaten by City, it was little surprise to see United deliver a disjointed performance.
