Mobile Customers Facing Connectivity Problems After iOS 10 Update
After you update your smartphone to iOS 10, you will have to install the new version of WhatsApp and give permission to Siri to send the messages for us. The reason is that after you update your device it may in fact lose connection to T-Mobile’s network. These users are still waiting on a permanent fix and so far there has been no word from either T-Mobile or Apple regarding these issues, so it can’t be said for sure when a proper fix is due. You could also try downgrading to iOS 9.3.5, but that process involves downloading a.ipsw file, wiping your phone, and restoring from an iOS 9 backup, and so it may not be a process that everyone wants to go through.

The issue of users reporting problems with their phones after installing the latest iOS as soon as it is available is not new.
As for folks that’ve already downloaded iOS 10, T-Mobile explains that you can power your iPhone down and then turn it back on to temporarily fix your connectivity problem.
IDC expects those who are already on iPhones to make up the majority who will purchase the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, and we do not expect Android users to be attracted to purchase the latest iPhone. In the meantime, T-Mobile customers are using that same Twitter account to let the carrier know exactly how they feel.
It’s unclear many users are affected by this, but given the sales of all three models, it is assumed to be a lot.

Neville Ray, T-Mobile’s CTO and EVP, reports that Apple is aware of the issue and is working on a fix which should arrive within the next 48 hours.
