Clinton’s doctor: Democrat is ‘fit to serve’
The announcements came as Clinton spent a third day resting at her home in Chappaqua, New York, after falling ill on Sunday morning as she left a September 11 memorial in New York City.

In a letter posted on the Clinton campaign website, Mrs Clinton’s doctor said that she was healthy and had suffered an ear and sinus infection earlier in the year, in addition to her current bout of pneumonia.
Clinton had been resting for three days in her NY home and will return to the campaign trail Thursday. The pneumonia was described as a “mild non-contagious bacterial pneumonia”, for which Clinton was advised to rest and take antibiotics.
Dr Bardack also said Mrs Clinton has been taking the anti-coagulant Coumadin, and that her blood levels “have been relatively stable”. She also has had several allergy flares over the past year, which has been a typical pattern for most of her life. However, after video surfaced showing the former secretary of state struggling to walk, the campaign revealed she was diagnosed with pneumonia on Friday.
Things took a slight turn for the worse in January, when Clinton developed a sinus and ear infection, requiring a visit to an ear, nose, and throat doctor.
“We are pleased to disclose all of the test results which show that Mr. Trump is in excellent health, and has the stamina to endure – uninterrupted – the rigors of a punishing and unprecedented presidential campaign and, more importantly, the singularly demanding job of President of the United States”, the email said. A video showing her almost collapsing during the event soon went viral and led to her team admitting she had been diagnosed with pneumonia a couple days earlier. “Hillary Clinton’s release of updated medical information today meets a standard followed by presidential candidates like Barack Obama and Mitt Romney”.
Following the revelation of Clinton’s pneumonia, Trump vowed soon to release “very, very specific numbers” from a recent check-up with Bornstein.
Her heart rate was 70 and her blood pressure was 100 over 70.
The offer to release more medical details came after weeks of blunt refusal to do so and was the latest step for the campaign to quell long-time speculation about Clinton’s health that climaxed on Sunday after she was videotaped being helped into a van while her feet appeared to be dragging on the ground.
So far the 70-year-old Trump had released only four, gushing paragraphs on his health, written by his doctor Harold Bornstein in December 2015.
“She is recovering well with antibiotics and rest”, the statement reads.
These kinds of attacks distract from the substance of the campaign, as does compelling Clinton to release yet more of her health information to debunk rumors.
