With the win, the Giants finish their preseason with a record of 2-2 having won their final two games, while the Patriots endured their first loss, falling to 3-1.

In the fourth quarter the Patriots cut their deficit to one, 10-9 after a Stephen Gostkowski field goal was good from 32 yards.

According to CSNNE.com’s Tom E. Curran, Brady traveled with the Patriots to NY. His last start in a preseason finale was in 2011, a year the Patriots went to the Super Bowl, and lost to the Giants. Wraps up the pre season with they sixteen for 26 performance 166 yards.

Brady had New England at the Giants 19 on the next series before running back D.J. Foster fumbled a screen pass. Nassib played the majority of the game and had flashes of solid play amidst his inconsistencies. He finished the night 16-of-29 for 210 yards, a touchdown and an interception. The 49ers’ visit coincided with the annual Salute to the Military preseason game for the Chargers, who have strong fan support in their city’s extensive armed forces community.

Garoppolo had some struggles as the team’s starter during the preseason, and Brady’s presence seemed to complicate matters as he received some playing time during the final two games.

Brady will be able to work with his buddy/body coach, Alex Guerrero, the National Football League says. New England wanted to get him some reps before his four-game suspsension. But he then made a rookie mistake and didn’t protect it, allowing the Giants to force a fumble inside the red zone which took away points. The three-game home stand at Gillette Stadium brings a couple division foes and another team with a young, unproven, suspect passer in Brock Osweiler.

In all, he played 39 offensive snaps, including a two-point conversion and a half-ending kneel-down.

Two more of the NFL’s best now get to admire No. 13 and No. 12 from their respective walls. After coaching the Giants since 2004, Coughlin stepped down after last season and was replaced by first-year coach Ben McAdoo.

Baltimore’s Josh Johnson, competing with Ryan Mallett for the backup quarterback job behind Joe Flacco, passed for 181 yards and rushed for a short touchdown, and the Ravens defeated the New Orleans Saints, 23-14. Nassib connected with King on a slant route over the middle. Meanwhile, Gaffney suffered a foot injury late in the fourth quarter and is likely to end up on the Patriots practice squad at best.
