Jon Jones comments on possible Stipe Miocic fight

The win broke a two-fight losing streak.

This event will be on one UFC’s biggest events to date.

Miocic will be fighting Holland’s Alistair Overeem as he looks to upset the home crowd and win the UFC Heavyweight title for the first time in his career.

Somehow, Miocic scrambled out of this position and made his way back to his feet. “And he’s all about meeting his fans and everything but when you show up at 10 at night, we might need to say he’s not here”, said Mecklemburg. “No one else is getting in there with us, so I’m going to come out the victor and that’s the way it’s going to be”. Gall went for a choke but couldn’t get it and then he started raining down heavy blows on Punk from his back. “The after party for some people won’t be so nice”.

Just climbing the steps into the octagon was something of a victory for Punk, who became a villain of sorts inside UFC circles as fans, wrestlers and fellow fighters questioned his motives for taking up a new sport with no experience. Overeem has held titles in multiple organizations and he’s looking to add to his collection by winning the greatest of them all.

Miocic is the slightest of favorites, though the betting odds for his fight with Overeem are nearly even.

“Overeem brings a lot of challenges”. “This was the most fun I’ve had in my life, second best night of my life after marrying my wife”. It’ll be a legacy and pride fight for Miocic. Ranked sixth and seventh respectively, this fight should be the flawless way to kick of the UFC 203 main card. Velasquez’s last fight was against Travis Browne, whom he defeated at UFC 200. I’m not sure what is coming now.

Overeem so far hasn’t addressed the interview specifically, but he has commented on the outcome of the fight, stating on Twitter that, “1 day later: Bummed still, congrats to stipe – the man has power in those hands!” “He’s got power but everybody’s got power”.

When the two meet the fight itself is bound to be explosive. As much talk as there is for fighters from Brazil carrying their country or Conor McGregor and Ireland, Miocic carries Cleveland, but the pressure doesn’t seem to faze him.

“I believe when I punched him and he went down”, Overeem said. “He’s going to go to sleep”, said Miocic. “Right now, I don’t care who they put in front of me, I’m going to stay champ for a long time”.
