Jets Brandon Marshall out with apparent knee injury

That leaves coach Rex Ryan having plenty of concerns he needs to address two weeks into his second season in Buffalo. With Ryan on the Bills’ sidelines, there was some added drama to what was already a solid rivalry. Going all the way back to the 1990 season, only 26 teams have earned a playoff birth after going 0 and 2 (a rate of 12 percent) making this game all that more important for both clubs.

And the loss to the Jets comes a week after the Bills’ offence managed just 160 yards in a 13-7 loss at Baltimore. Sure, it’s only two games, but this isn’t baseball or the NBA.it’s tough to dig your way out of an 0-2 hole in the NFL.

After the 37-31 win, Fitzpatrick was asked about wearing the ring. The game was the first to be streamed on Twitter - although when it came to the social network, overshadowing the (truly impressive) live feed was Eric Decker’s wife’s tweet about her husband’s circulatory system. With a 1-8 record, you had to wonder if there was a little Rex in his giant brain, taunting the Harvard grad. But, once again, the Jets were their own worst enemy as they struggled inside the red zone.

Nick Folk then connected on his third field goal, bringing the score to 30-24. Fitzpatrick threw for more yards than he compiled in that game (181) and last week’s season-opening loss at Cincinnati (189). Ryan Fitzpatrick completed 19 of 35 passes for 189 yards and two touchdowns against one interception.

He was able to put all of that behind him as he picked apart the Bills defense all night. “Once I got that, I said, ‘I’m going to go out there and run'”.

The Jets won, but Revis struggled for the second straight game.

The turnover was the Bills’ first defensive stop in the game. A 71-yard reception for Greg Salas and a 36-yard fumble return for a touchdown by Nickel Robey-Coleman saw the Bills take a 24 to 20 lead.

The Jets scored on each of their first four possessions to build a 20-7 lead. In rushing, Lesean McCoy ran for 58 yards and a touchdown in 16 carries to lead the Bills.

NY responded by scoring the next 17 points.
