The initial stock of Apple’s larger iPhone 7 Plus has completely sold out ahead of its release on Friday, the company has said.

Apple will, however, have a limited quantity of the iPhone 7 in all colors except Jet Black available for customers to pick up in its retail stores. They went on to add that “Availability at partner locations for all finishes may vary and we recommend checking directly with them”. T-Mobile and Sprint announced strong pre-orders for the new iPhones, which sent Apple’s stock price upwards yesterday.

That means people who didn’t pre-order the new smartphone models won’t be able to get their hands on one from Apple stores – no matter how long they wait in line. Interested employees are reportedly leaving no stones unturned to pocket the jet Black variant of iPhone 7 Plus!
Apple broke with tradition this year when it announced it would not release first-week sales of the new phones, saying the figure is more a reflection of supply than demand.
If nothing but one of the sold-out, super-popular, this-is-what-the-cool-kids-are-buying models will do, you might be better off looking at the retailers, such as Carphone Warehouse and the like.
Although, customers may not be too fussed about this, considering Apple said that the jet black version will scratch easily. The regular iPhone 7 in the same finish is now only available in the 128GB and 256GB capacities, and ships in three to five weeks.

The technology giant said the entire stockpile has been bought during the pre-order period, which began last Friday, two days after the phone was revealed.
