US Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton waves to the press as she leaves her daughter’s apartment building after resting on September 11, 2016, in NY.
Just one day earlier, a note from Mrs Clinton’s doctor Lisa Bardack said she was “healthy and fit” and revealed bacterial pneumonia was the cause.
“So I think that the real questions need to be directed toward Donald Trump and his failure to even meet the most minimalistic standards that we expect of someone being the nominee of one of our two major parties”, she said.
Mr Trump had avoided referring to Mrs Clinton’s medical problems but on Wednesday night made a veiled attack on her health.
With less than two months until Election Day, polls have begun to tighten. This theory is highly dependent on Trump winning key states.
The rally marked Clinton’s first public appearance since Sunday, when she abruptly left a 9-11 memorial service after getting dizzy and dehydrated.
But on Thursday Mrs Clinton walked on to the stage of a rally in Greensboro, North Carolina, to the sound of James Brown’s “I Feel Good”.
In Greensboro, Clinton will deliver a speech on the topic of “how we lift up our children and families”, according to Clinton spokeswoman Jennifer Palmieri. Clinton continues to be dragged down by voters’ mistrust, but she still maintains more pathways than Trump to the 270 Electoral College votes needed to win the White House.
In an interview with the Washington Post’s Robert Costa published Thursday evening, Trump refused to say whether he believes Obama was born in the U.S.
But if Clinton is trying to change the subject away from her health, Trump may make that hard.
Health episode raises new doubts and brings up old concerns about Clinton.
“As you may know, I recently had a cough that turned out to be pneumonia”, Clinton said at the opening of her speech.
“Well I don’t know”.
As things stand, Clinton is still widely seen as the favorite and the odds remain in her favor. And her remarks in Los Angeles on Tuesday were meant to about a more inclusive economy. Her campaign subsequently admitted she had been given a diagnosis of pneumonia.
After a brief hiatus due to illness, Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton has hit the election campaign trail with new vigour and energy as she announced rolling out detailed plans in 38 different policy areas.
Trump’s team took a swipe at Clinton’s brief absence from the campaign trail in a statement accompanying the new health information.
In other words, if you win OH you’re winning America.
Right now, I think the states most vulnerable to flipping are: New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Arizona and Florida.
Democratic pollster Geoff Garin said North Carolina is Clinton’s “best chance” to win a state that Mitt Romney carried four years ago.
This is the first Times/CBS News poll of the election cycle to include a measure of likely voters.
Thursday’s visit is her fifth since she clinched the nomination on June, while Clinton’s campaign and her aligned super PACs have spent close to $15 million advertising on TV in the state.

States such as OH and Florida, which do not lean heavily Democratic or Republican, are no longer considered likely wins for Clinton, according to the Reuters/Ipsos States of the Nation project released on Saturday. Among the broader electorate of registered voters, Clinton leads Trump by five points.
