Keyshawn Johnson: Rams’ Jeff Fisher ‘basically forced to draft Jared Goff’
John Clayton is reporting that the Los Angeles Rams and Jeff Fisher have agreed to a 3-year contract extension.

In a recent interview with ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith, former National Football League wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson cited his “outside … and inside people (within the Rams)” and said that Fisher was “basically forced” to draft Goff with the top pick in the 2016 draft.
“My agent called me maybe a couple weeks back, saying, ‘We’re getting close, ‘” Brockers said. Not only is Fisher the first to make it to a fifth season, it’s looking like they are going to reward him for it!
“I just have to let the game come to me”, Keenum said.
Brockers hasn’t developed into a star pass rusher, but is rock solid against the run and exceedingly durable, starting 57 straight games for the Rams.
Brockers has just under 300 tackles along with 14.5 sacks to his name and will look to be even bigger this season. However, what’s not working in the Rams’ favor is their schedule: four of their next eight games come against above-.500 teams teams last season (the Seahawks, Cardinals, Panthers, and the Jets) with the other four coming against teams expected to be more competitive this season (the Buccaneers, Bills, Lions, and Giants).
The 25-year-old Brockers entered the season as a key cog in the Rams’ deep, talented front four.
“They’re going to give us everything they’ve got”, Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner said. At the very worst, the Rams may quickly decide that they won’t be a very competitive team this year and choose to give Goff as many reps as possible. There’s no more issues.
Whitlock, who is on the reserve/injured list, will begin serving his suspension immediately.
Wilson was a full participant in practice each of the past two days after suffering a sprained ankle in the third quarter of last week’s game against the Miami Dolphins.
Whitlock was waived-injured with a foot problem late last month. “Did a little cardio today and now it’s just day by day”. He can receive treatment for his injury, but it must be away from the Giants’ facilities.
Fisher is in the final year of a five-year contract signed in 2012.
Fisher said the Rams’ new play-caller, offensive coordinator Rob Boras, emerged from the game frustrated with himself.

The NFL Network’s Mike Silver, a long-time Fisher supporter, countered by pointing out that Fisher told him long before the draft that he wanted Goff.
