During Wednesday night’s Labour leadership debate at Sky headquarters in London, Mr Corbyn defended his team for releasing the controversial list, arguing those named had made statements “on the record”.

Mr Coyle, who represents Bermondsey & Old Southwark, told the Evening Standard he is confident the three of them have a solid case against the Labour leader. That’s right, Coyle wants to sue Corbyn because of something Coyle himself said, which was accusing his leader of presiding over the “Farage-ification” of the Labour Party.
A member of Momentum has hit back at accusations the group is trying to take over a Liverpool Labour group and kick out the MP and councillors.
With less than a week for members to cast their votes, the Labour leadership battle is drawing to a close.
Mr Coyle, who is on the list for comparing Mr Corbyn to Nigel Farage, also claimed that with the list the party leader was “giving the green light” for Corbynistas to continue trolling Labour MPs who have criticised him.
Ms Phillips said she had received a threat on Thursday morning and linked it to being named on the list.
At the Sky News debate, Smith branded it a “deselection list” that would be used by some activists to target MPs considered hostile to Corbyn.
“It is certainly not an honest Momentum to preach the message of unity while planning to deselect 170 Labour MPs who dared to disagree with their assessment of Labour’s chances of winning”.
“Jess Phillips has had months and months of abuse, a torrent of abuse from Corbynistas and the like, and she has been put on this list”, he said.
“I think that when things like this happen publically it just causes a lot of hurt to people”.
He continued: “Jeremy and his team know they have put a lot of people off through their incompetence over the past year who do not want to vote for them again this time round”.
In another weird accusation this week, Chris Leslie MP has claimed that holding the government to account over Brexit was “not on [Shadow Chancellor John McDonnell’s] mind” at the moment.
“It shouldn’t have gone out and we apologise for that”.
“Five days to get the Labour Party into a position where it can face outwards and talk about the problems the country faces and the solutions we offer – not face inwards with talk about deselections and Red Tories and splits”. Ben Bradshaw. and instead of working with Ben to work out why Ben has been so successful and has been a good MP for that constituency, he gets dumped on this list as well.
The list was mistakenly released to journalists by a member of Corbyn’s team without approval, triggering anger among MPs.

“There was information put out there about statements that colleagues made on the record”, he said.
