According to the Chicago Tribune, the White Sox needed at least 1,000 dogs to stay in their seats in the outfield stands for 10 minutes during the third inning in order to take home the Guinness World Record – and they succeeded with 1,122 canines!
“Because he got lengthened out last time, and he’s got a bullpen (session) now, I think you’re going to start seeing more and more that the game will dictate where he exits”, Cleveland manager Terry Francona said.
Rodon allowed more earned runs (six) than he had in five August starts.
“I was really pleased the way he pitched tonight”.
“Once my stuff (pregame preparation) is in a bundle and I’m ready to go, I have fun the rest of the day”, Francona said.

Crisp, who also doubled, went deep to left with none out in the sixth to chase Carlos Rodon (7-9) who allowed six runs to match his season high and lost for the first time since July 31.
In 2017, the Indians will play six summer weekend series at Progressive Field, starting against the White Sox (June 9-11) and continuing against the Twins (June 23-25). Tomlin is 11-8 with a 4.85 ERA and he will look to improve on those numbers here down the stretch while Rodon is 7-8 with a 3.80 mark and will use his last handful of starts to earn himself a place in the rotation next season.
