Bills concerns mount after getting off to 0-2 start
“Well, first off, obviously never expected this”, Ryan said, opening his news conference following a 37-31 loss to the New York Jets on Thursday night.

The Jets (1-1) snapped a five-game skid against Buffalo, which included a 22-17 season-ending loss in January that eliminated NY from the playoffs.
The Bills rallied back to score on three straight possessions spanning halftime. Marshall went to the locker room to be evaluated, but returned to the game on the next series. Brandon Marshall had six receptions for 101 yards.
Fitzpatrick on Marshall returning to field: “I thought he was down for the count, for sure”.
Also standing out was veteran running back Matt Forte, who racked up three touchdowns and 100 yards rushing on 30 carries.
“I’m just fortunate and blessed that I was able to finish the game and it was not a season-ending thing”, Marshall said. Then Bills cornerback Nickell Robey-Coleman scooped up a Jalin Marshall fumble and returned it 36 yards for a touchdown.
With an 84-yard touchdown pass to Marquise Goodwin and a 71-yard TD pass to Greg Salas, Taylor became Buffalo’s fifth quarterback to throw two touchdowns of 70-yards or longer in the same game. Buffalo hosts Arizona on September 25, followed by a game at New England, where the Bills are 1-14 since 2001.
Fitzpatrick hit Brandon Marshall for gains of 37 and 15 yards on the first scoring drive (against Ronald Darby and Stephon Gilmore, respectively) before Matt Forte scored on a 1-yard run.
Dan Carpenter began the run by hitting a 39-yard field goal with 10 seconds left in the second quarter. The catch helped set up Decker’s 5-yard touchdown catch that put the Jets up 20-7.
The coach has always brought out the worst in Fitzpatrick, who had a 47.3 completion percentage and 12 interceptions against him coming into the game.

Bills LB Jerry Hughes: “We just didn’t play good football today”. He joins Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly, whose No. 12, is the only number the Bills have retired.
