The Oakland A’s and the Los Angeles Dodgers face off on Wednesday in Oakland as they continue their Major League Baseball interleague series.
After dropping seven straight on the road last week-five by two runs or less-the A’s came home and beat the Los Angeles Dodgers tonight in extra innings, 5-4.
Dodgers: Yasiel Puig was pulled from the game with tightness in his right hamstring after reaching on an infield single in the eighth.
Dodgers left-hander Clayton Kershaw gave up one run and five hits over seven innings but got a no-decision.
First baseman Mark Canha recorded the first four-hit game of his career and scored three times with two RBI for the Athletics, who have won seven in a row against the Dodgers at O.co Coliseum. In the bottom of the third inning, he had a bit of a mishap trying to field a hit off Danny Valencia’s bat.
The Dodgers got the run back in the fifth inning when Ellis and Joc Pederson drew back-to-back walks off Felix Doubront.

With the frustration of the last two pitches fresh on his mind, Kershaw picked the ball up and slammed it into the ground.
Canha opened the 10th with a double off Yimi Garcia, his fourth hit of the game. Latos had been scheduled to pitch Wednesday against the A’s, but LHP Alex Wood will now start that game.
“I’ll probably remember the whole thing in it’s entirety”, Canha said.
The Athletics tied the score later in the inning when Semien singled off J.P. Howell. He is hitting. 250 with 10 homers and 35 RBIs in 72 games overall.
