Apple Wants to Know if You Still Use Your MacBook’s Headphone Jack

One of the more notable survey questions focuses on the headphone jack, and for Apple users who are against the port’s removal from the iPhone 7, this could mean another heartache in the future.

Apart from this, additional questions were asked relating to the use of other ports including USB ports and SD card slots.

The Cupertino based tech firm has been sending out surveys to avid users asking about MacBook Pro features, particularly about the headphone jack.

And with news that Samsung could be considering a similar move for its future handsets, and possibly licensing a proprietary port to other manufacturers, it seems we’re poised on the precipice of an all-out headphone jack war.

As feared, the company ditched the headphone jack on the newest models of the iPhone, labelling the weird decision “courageous”. The company’s also scrabbling around for information relating to the machine’s battery life and various other high-tech holes, such as its USB ports and SD card slot.

It should be powered by Intel’s new Kaby Lake processor for better and faster performance, if rumors are to be believed. Not only this, but we could also see Apple incorporate support for Touch ID, but concrete details are not present on whether or not a physical button will be placed somewhere on the company’s MacBook Pro, or if it’s going to be integrated beneath the trackpad.

Meanwhile, the MacBook Pro 2016 is said to come with an OLED touch display just above the keyboard, GottaBeMobile reported.
