The Philadelphia Eagles are the 10th most valuable franchise in the National Football League, according to Forbes’ annual rankings.

The Dallas Cowboys remain number one with a valuation of $4.2 billion. That’s 12 more points than the Pittsburgh Steelers, the team with the next highest number of fans.

“The team continues to increase stadium revenue”.

The most valuable team in the AFC North is the former Browns as the Baltimore Ravens ($2.3 billion) rank 14th, one spot ahead of the Steelers ($2.25 billion).

The Dallas Cowboys were unsurprisingly the most valuable franchise, while the Rams – who moved from St. Louis to Los Angeles – sky rocketed from 28th to sixth!

The Packers, operating in the smallest market in major professional sports, kept pace by good financial management and by investing in their business. Only the Buffalo Bills ($1.5 billion) are worth less. “The Patriots removed almost 2,000 seats at Gillette Stadium a year ago to create an indoor/outdoor club that borders the end zone and offers field-level sight lines”, said Forbes.

Team values are determined by equity plus net debt and based on each team’s current stadium (with adjustments for pending new stadiums and renovations).
