Corbyn plans Labour ‘organising academies’ to hone activists’ campaigning skills

The original release highlighted the behaviour of a number of other Labour MPs, including Jess Phillips for telling Mr Corbyn’s ally Diane Abbott to “f*** off”.

Owen Smith will round off his Labour leadership campaign by accusing Jeremy Corbyn and his supporters of “bullying and intimidation” and claiming there are “five days left to save the Labour Party”.

Speaking on Premier’s News Hour Daniel May-Miller from Christians on the Left said: “It undermines relationships and it undermines trust, and well, what does it say in Matthew? And those of us who don’t think of ourselves as either Blairites or Corbynites – which is most of us – are welcome in this party too”, Mr Smith told activists in London.

The London mayor said: “What this shouldn’t be used as an excuse for is either from the Conservative Government to reduce the number of Labour MPs or by the Labour leadership, and I’m sure they wouldn’t, to get rid of unpopular Labour MPs”.

Mr Corbyn and the former frontbencher will battle it out in the latest televised hustings of the campaign on Sky News later.

In a debate on Wednesday night, Corbyn appeared to defend the list, which he described as recording “statements made by colleagues on the record”.

A member of Labour’s ruling National Executive Committee has suggested the party may use a massive shake-up of constituency boundaries to force out MPs who have been disloyal to leader Jeremy Corbyn.

In the face of tough competition, Labour MP Neil Coyle has won the award for the most ridiculous smear on Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn.

The Labour leader said academies – which could deliver organising skills and training to tens of thousands of members – would be backed by an “organising innovation task force” bringing together “world-leading experts” to hone the party’s campaigning skills.

May-Miller said the list had “made politics personal in the worst possible way” rather than “setting the example that hopefully we want to set”.

It would also gain the Labour stronghold of Broad Green from Croydon North, and lose the Conservative-dominated Shirley to neighbouring Bromley – shunting Mr Barwell’s home and constituency office outside the borders of his newly fortified realm.

“That isn’t unifying”, he said.

In fact she praised Mr Corbyn in her resignation letter for being; “kind” and “committed”. “The only person who has done that is John McDonnell”.

Smith said the deselection of sitting MPs would lead Labour into “even greater trouble than we are now”, before accusing Corbyn of not being serious about winning power.

His campaign team withdrew the list, which was reportedly put out by a “junior member”, and has apologised to Mr Watson.

The Birmingham Yardley MP tweeted: “Seems the list is having desired affect have had my first anti semitic we are coming for you email of the day”.
