St. Louis Police Chief Sam Dotson said that two young men ran out of the back of a house when authorities arrived to execute a search warrant.

Police have not identified the man they shot but said he was black. Police have not released any details about the suspect other than he is in his mid-to-late teens.
Dotson said the man who died was a black man and in his early 20s.
After being ordered to drop their weapons, police said one of the suspects pointed his gun at the officers. One officer shot three times, the other once, he said.
Police claimed they recovered crack cocaine and four guns that the man had in his possession.
Orange barricades were put up around a body the front yard of the multi-family building where the shooting occurred.
That area also is near where a 93-year-old veteran who was part of the Tuskegee Airmen – black World War II pilots – was the victim of crimes twice within a few minutes Sunday, being robbed and then having his vehicle stolen. They reportedly demanded to know why the officers killed the suspect. Both officers have been placed on administrative leave, per department policy.
The shooting came as protesters marked the killing of Kajieme Powell, 25, who was shit by officers in August 2014.
More than 100 people gathered at the scene of the shooting; some confronted police and questioned statements by Dotson. Several onlookers surrounded individual officers, yelling at them.
“They provoked the situation”, Price, 33, said.
“The sign says it all”, said Mr Robinson.
“You need to protect yourself from the senseless shootings, the gang violence”.

The intersection was blocked off by police; there was a large group of officers at the scene.
