Soundarya Ashwin, elder daughter of superstar Rajinikanth and most known for directing her father in India’s first motion capture 3D film “Kochadaiiyaan”, has been appointed as the brand ambassador of Animal Welfare Board of India (AWBI). The couple had been together for about four years before their marriage in 2010.
As per sources, the couple has been going through a lot of misunderstandings since the past couple of years. While there are no details about what was the real deal-breaker, the buzz is that they have had a difference of opinion for a long time. It has also been said that Rajnikanth tried to mend the rough patch that was growing between Soundarya and Ashwin by staying with his daughter after returning from the USA, as he was undergoing a treatment regarding his health there.
When Ashwin was sought for a comment by the media on the matter, he refused to give one, which has only strengthened the speculations.

She made her directorial debut through “Kochadaiyaan” with her dad in the lead, but unfortunately, it bombed in the box-office. And she also enjoys the reputation of being vocal about issues related to women rights.
