The actor/director’s girlfriend of two years, screenwriter and former champion equestrian vaulter Rosalind Ross, is pregnant with a baby due in early 2017.
Mel Wednesday Robyn Moore in 1980, and after seven children and almost three decades together, the couple separated in July 2006, but the divorce wasn’t finalized until December 2011.
Gibson has seven adult children – Hannah, Edward, Christian, William, Louis, Milo and Thomas – from his previous marriage to Robyn Gibson.
He also has a six-year-old daughter, Lucia, with former girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva.
“Mel and Rose are so excited about the baby”, a close friend tells the publication.
Gibson and Ross were in Australia a year ago, while Hacksaw Ridge was filmed on location at Sydney’s Fox Studios and across the city’s semi-rural outer suburbs.
